Welcome message from Clean Energy Council Jackie Trad Jackie Trad Chief Executive It is my great pleasure to welcome you to All Energy Australia, in what is my second week as Chief Executive of the Clean Energy Council and at a time when the clean energy transition has never been more urgent or more full of opportunity. Over these two days, over 15,500 professionals, 450 suppliers and 500 expert speakers will come together to share knowledge and build understanding of the latest developments, innovations and trends in clean energy. As an industry, there has been remarkable progress in clean energy – renewables now supply more than 40 percent of our electricity, rooftop solar continues its world-leading trajectory with more than 4.2 million systems now installed on homes and businesses nationwide, and investment in large-scale and household battery storage at all-time highs. By being here, you will gain insights into the latest developments, innovations and trends in clean energy. You will also hear about the considerable challenges we must overcome; including planning delays, access to skills and workforce, and the transmission upgrades that are so critical to a successful energy transition for Australians. Crucially, these challenges sit alongside the need to ensure the benefits of the transition are shared across communities, particularly those who in regional Australia who are hosting energy infrastructure and developments. This is why events such as All Energy Australia are so important. They provide the space for collaboration across industry, government, investors and communities to find practical solutions to the barriers we face. They showcase the technologies and services that will power our next phase of growth — from solar, wind and storage to electric transport, energy efficiency and demand management. They remind us of the scale of the opportunity before us: to create new industries, drive regional economic growth and continue, at pace, on the path to deliver cleaner, more affordable energy for all Australians. As part of the program, the Clean Energy Council will again host its free technical masterclasses, enabling rooftop solar installers and designers to refresh existing and gain the new skills required to stay at the forefront of the industry. We are also delighted to present the Women in Renewables Lunch, a flagship event that celebrates the leadership, talent and contribution of women in all areas of our sector. I encourage you to take full advantage of the next two days — to learn, to share and to make connections. This is a time of profound change – the energy transition is the defining economic and environmental challenge of our generation. As we look ahead, I am confident we can work together to determine how Australia can best decarbonise at the pace and scale required, while building a stronger economy, safeguarding the environment and ensuring host communities benefit as we provide a reliable and affordable power supply for households and businesses for years to come. I look forward to leading the Clean Energy Council into its next phase as the leading voice for the businesses and the people delivering our energy future. Enjoy All Energy Australia 2025. 18 ALL ENERGY AUSTRALIA
