Waste Expo Australia has always been a pinnacle of excitement, but this year, it promises to be more significant than ever. It’s the ultimate gathering for our sector with the biggest investors and owners of waste and recycling assets (the private sector) coming together with key government agencies from Federal, State, and Local Governments. This collaboration is crucial as the sector expands and adapts to the community’s evolving consumer habits and rising and sometimes unrealistic expectations on industrial activity. As the key division of the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) representing the waste and recycling sectors, the VWMA continues to stand as a partner with government on a range of topics including tackling rogue operators, creating better regulations and tackle the expanding challenges of workforce shortages and impacts by fires. The VWMA serves as the voice of the industry and the broader sustainability, safety and profitability of the sector, advocating on behalf of our members.
